We are constantly drawn to, and even overwhelmed by, the sheer brilliance of science and design and pause to think back to the beginning of 2014, when the Mother City was given the status of Design Capital of the World. Nearly 4000 articles were published about the year-long event which generated R1.6 billion in digital media coverage and reached 2.4 billion people.
