aaart (Abundant African Art) was founded in 2007 on the realisation that there was an abundance of extremely talented African artists struggling to survive while they all made the same things. There was a gap to design practical, contemporary & unique homeware items, while giving me the opportunity to explore my own creativity. So in helping a friend in the set up of a retail furniture store with a need for lighting, aaart was born.

Today we sell a range of popular designs and custom made chandeliers & accessories both to the local and international market.

We pride ourselves on the fact that a private client interested in one small item is as important to us as their corporate, larger scale counterpart. Each enquiry adds to our inspiration, and orders are an opportunity for beaders and existing and budding wire artists to survive and grow.
