Aan de Wijnlanden - New lifestyle estate located on the edge of the Stellenbosch Winelands
Aan de Wijnlanden is a new lifestyle estate located on the edge of the Stellenbosch Winelands, and the neighbour of De Wijnlanden Estate. When complete, the estate will encompass some 50 hectares comprising upward of 800 own title garden homes interspersed with open landscaped areas, walking trails and recreational facilities.
The estate conveniently has two access points which lead into the highly secured residential area. The East gate provides access to Baden Powell Drive with direct connection to the N2 freeway and a short drive into Stellenbosch, past the esteemed Meerlust, Welmoed and Spier wine estates. The West gate provides access to Van Riebeeck Road which connects to Kuilsriver, Bellville and the Northern suburbs of Cape Town, or alternatively a short drive to Somerset West and the beaches of the Strand.
The developers of Aan de Wijnlanden have focused on providing modern homes with modern amenities for today's highly mobile and connected society. While the homes will be built to the highest standards and quality of finishes, they are also energy efficient and "smart". Every home will be connected to a future proofed Fibre to the Home network, providing each homeowner with modern Broadband capabilities, enabling cable TV, ultra fast and reliable data (internet) connection, connection to the estate's state security system and a free inter-estate telephone system. With the Cape Town international airport less than 15 minutes away, the "smart" Aan de Wijnlanden village provides ideal homes for the new South African "flexi" worker that needs to work professionally from home, yet have easy access to other geographical areas, such as Gauteng.
The estate provides equally for starter families and older "empty nesters" wishing to scale down their housing requirements. The large recreational complex will feature two squash courts, a tennis court, a swimming pool and a clubhouse / restaurant area. Other unique lifestyle amenities include an on site crèche, interdenominational church and almost ten hectares of conservation area with kilometres of walking and jogging trails. Due to its favourable locality on the edge of the Stellenbosch Winelands, residents of Aan de Wijnlanden will easily be able to access schools and shopping centres which are located within minutes of the development.
The first phase of the development will be accessed from Baden Powell Drive at the main De Wijnlanden turnoff, opposite Meerlust Estate. A mix of 102 two and three bedroom homes were sold out shortly after launch and the houses, priced between R1.3 million and R2.5 million are currently under construction. The second phase of Aan de Wijnlanden will shortly be launched but early bird purchasers can view and choose from the well priced erven and home packages that the developers have released on pre-view. Two bedroom free standing homes will be priced from R1,595,000 and three bedroom homes from R1,695,000.
